For those of us seeking that silky, fresh-out-of-a-commercial type hair (let’s face it, who isn’t?) there is a lot more to be considered than simply the type of shampoo we use. The following five foods have proven to lead to healthier, and overall better-looking hair when they were consumed on a regular basis.
Eggs are rich in lots of vitamins that are useful for bettering hair’s health, but in particular, they contain cysteine, an amino acid that helps by thickening each hair strand individually.
2. Red Meat
Although it should be eaten in moderation to avoid the consumption of unnecessary fats, red meat is rich in iron, which allows hair to grow in thick and strong starting at the root.
3. Sweet Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes are a great hair food because they contain a variety of nutrients that our bodies convert to Vitamin A. Vitamin A helps lock in moisture, ultimately protecting against dandruff and any kind of hair breakage
4. Wild Salmon
Wild Salmon contains Omega-3 fatty acids, which are all around good for your body, skin, and hair. In particular, Omega-3s help produce shine so that you can obtain a glossy look that is all natural.
5. Dark Green Vegetables
Dark Green Vegetables such as spinach and broccoli contain large amounts of Vitamin A and C, which help to produce Sebum. Sebum is a form of oil that our bodies produce naturally, and interacts like conditioner does when it comes to hair.
