Up Close With COVERGIRL P!NK
Monday night I had the pleasure of attending P!NK's Truth About Love concert at the Barclays center in Brooklyn. I hadn’t been to a concert since I was younger so this was one exciting night for me. As a guest of COVERGIRL the seats were amazing only a few feet away from P!NK herself. What made the night even better was being able to bring my two best friends with me. No DSLR cameras were allowed in the arena so I ended up leaving mine in the car and did the best I could with my iPhone camera.
Rock band The Hives opened up for P!NK and they definitely got the party started -- their energy was palpable. The best part of the night however, was every moment P!NK was on stage. I didn’t realize how talented she was until seeing her live. Her vocals are out of this world, especially during the acoustic sets.
P!NK was super engaging with the crowd – speaking to us, collecting gifts and even putting some guys in their place. One guy in the crowd pushed a girl to get closer to her she didn't like that one bit, telling him he better not do that again, because she’s definitely not afraid to push a guy back. I wouldn't have expected anything less from her.
The entire performance was out this world. Her acrobatic skills were amazing, it’s no wonder she’s in the shape she is. Throughout the show she played the drums and piano as well, telling us that every tour she goes on she tries learning something new. I love that P!NK is a COVERGIRL, because she represents the brand and women everywhere so well. She’s beautiful, confident and completely fearless.
