#TravelDiary First Day In LA

palmtrees_hotelmaya I spent the last few days between Long Beach, California and Los Angeles. To start off the trip, I boarded the trip sicker than I've ever been. It was a brutal six-hour flight to say the least. I had a fever and was in so much pain from the aches and pains that go along with having a cold. Towards the end of the flight I was already contemplating my switching my flight and going right back home once I landed. Thankfully I was traveling with my friends and they took the best care of me. I pushed through and am so glad I did, because once we arrived at our hotel the views were totally worth it.

We checked into Hotel Maya in Long Beach and were able to get our room immediately. Normally hotels have an afternoon check-in policy, but Hotel Maya was able to accommodate our 10AM arrival. We immediately changed outfits and made our way to LA for some exploring. The purpose of this trip was to attend the We All Grow Conference and this was the only day we had completely to ourselves. As sick as I was feeling I pushed through so I could enjoy the day with the girls. I didn't want to miss out on our only day in LA.

Being the typical tourist that we were, our first stop was In-N-Out Burger. My taste buds were gone and I couldn't taste my food, but the photo was pretty lol. After that we went to the Griffith Park Observatory. The views up there were breathtaking. You could see all of LA and the Hollywood sign. We arrived at the perfect time and got to enjoy the sunset as well. I don't have any photos at The Grove, but that was our last stop of the day before heading back to our Hotel.
