My Target Denim Challenge
This post is sponsored by Target.
I have some major news to share with you guys! Target has launched their own denim and I’m here to tell you all about it. For the past 14 days I have been living in a few Target Denim styles. I have documented the experience through photos to give you a better idea of how the different jeans fit me and how the styles looked.
I don’t know about you guys, but shopping for denim is a difficult task for me. There are so many styles, fit and washes to choose from. When I finally do come across a style of denim I love I’m almost tempted to purchase multiples. There are also times where I don’t even bother trying a pair of jeans on if they’re not a style I normally go for.
Usually I love a fitted pair of denim, dark wash and skinny leg fit. When I first looked at the Boyfriend Garconne pair of jeans Target sent me, I have to admit it was not my favorite. The fit looked a lot looser than what I normally go for. Once I tried them on I realized they were a little more fitted around the thighs than what I expected, but a bit loose around the waist. However, I loved the distressed look and once I played around with a couple looks I realized this style did work for me.
The second pair of denim I tried was the Mid-Rise Jegging. I was unsure about the fit, but once I tried them on they fit like a glove. They were a lighter wash than what I normally go for, but I loved the distressed look (a favorite of mine). The jeans fit perfectly around my waist and were so comfortable. If I had to pick a favorite pair the winner would be the third pair of denim. The third jeans I tried out were the High Rise Jegging style. These were perfection. The minute I saw them I knew they’d be my favorite. I love how they accentuate my curves without being uncomfortably tight. No matter what activity I was doing, these were my go-to jeans.
Both of the jeggings I tried were a perfect length for me. I’m 5’2 and typically when I try on denim, they’re always a bit long. These jeans hit me right at the ankle and didn’t need any tailoring.
When it comes to shopping for denim the task can seem daunting. I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone like I did, and try some new styles out. You’d be surprised at what you could fall in love with. Stop by a Target store or check out Target denim online at target.com/jeans. Shop for your perfect style and don’t forget to leave a review on the ones you love. Starting July 26th when you stop by a Target store and try on their denim you’ll receive $10 off! When you try the jeans tag the photos with #TargetStyle. I want to see which styles are your favorite and how you style them!
