Maybelline Color Tattoos

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoos are almost a drugstore dupe for Mac Paint Pots, but with more bright colors. They're cream eye shadows that are supposed to last all day without fading, and that is not false advertising.

Although I've never needed an eye shadow to last 24 hours, I like them to last all day, and the Color Tattoos definitely do. They will start to crease toward the end of your work day, but I don't think a product exists that can look perfect for a full 9 or 10 hours. These keep their color and shine really well compared to other cream shadows that will slide around or fade after just a little while.

They come in 14 matte and shimmery shades, some subtle and some vibrant. The shimmery colors are pretty as an all-over lid color if you don't want to spend time blending eye shadows. Just wipe these across your eye with your finger; not a lot of precision is necessary. The matte shades and the more neutral colors are really good to use as a base or primer for other eye shadows. For those nights when you need your eye look to stay put for hours, you can use Tough as Taupe or Barely Branded underneath.

Color Tattoos are probably the best quality cream shadows I've tried for the price. They're about $7 in drug stores, as opposed to the $19 Mac Paint Pots of about the same size. If you're a thrifty shopper, I definitely think these are a good alternative.
