Kate Young for Target Collection
New York-based celebrity stylist Kate Young began her fashion career at Vogue magazine, first assisting Anna Wintour and later becoming its market editor. Kate Young has embarked on her freelance career since 2003, contributing to international editions of Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar. Collaborating with some of the industry’s top photographers, such as Karl Lagerfield, Matt Jones and Pamela Hanson, Kate has also styled ad campaigns for Theory, Carolina Herrera and Guerlain.
Target's most recent designer collaboration features Kate Young's vintage yet modern looks, in time for Spring 2013. Featuring classic and modest silhouettes, Kate Young's prim and proper dresses prove to be anything but. Versatile for this season, Kate puts Spring style on spin by featuring peter pan collars, polka dot prints as well as vintage floral prints. Kate Young displays Target's simplicity and understated elegance by featuring a black and white chiffon leopard dress with a red skinny belt. Adding in pops of color through her colorful red, pink and yellow clutches demonstrates the brand’s edgy and versatile appeal to her young and modern crowd as well.
Perhaps what sets Kate Young's collection apart from other designer collaborations at Target is her gold and silver rebellious jewelry. Featuring "Arrow Heart Earrings" and a "Wide Epoxy Star Bracelet", the bold look proves to be complementary with her more simple and classic pieces from the collection. As this Spring proves to be a bit colder than usual (at least on the East Coast), layering her pieces comfortably and fashionably transforms a winter look from frumpy to stylish, looks Kate Young were able to execute effortlessly. And with prices ranging from $14.99 to $89.99, Kate Young's collection fits every fashion aficionado's budget!
