Feature Friday -- Nail Artist Sandy Le

image-2This week's feature goes to the stunning and talented nail artist -- Sandy Le. I was lucky enough to get my nails done by this artist for my birthday and have to say I've never had nails done like this before. Sandy pays close attention to details, makes you feel welcome and has ideas for nail art that wouldn't think possible. Her nail salon is based out of northern New Jersey. Photos of her stunning work are also at the end of this interview. Now, let's get to know Sandy a little more: How did you start doing nails?

I grew up in a nail salon and I always adored art and painting. I used to help out [at my parent’s shop] after school.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I love doing the designs, being creative and of course my clients.

What inspires you?

Anything related to art, fashion, patterns and colors.

How do you stay on top of new trends?

I do a lot of research. I attend nails shows and read nails magazines.

What is your favorite design/style to do on someone’s nails?

I love Swarovski. I also work with different patterns and Aztec is one oft favorite ones.

What has been the craziest thing someone has requested you to do on their nails?

I’ve had a few requests on Wonder Women and Starry Night inspired Sue Tsai

What tips/tricks can you share with us on taking care of our nails?

For the cold weather use cuccio cuticle oil -- it's the best for dry and skin that cracks. Summertime twice a week use fresh lime to clean your natural nails and feet. This helps to prevent your natural nails from turning yellow. This method also keeps them healthier.

What plans do you have for your business in the future?

I’d love to be in NYC and work with celebrity clients.

What is your definition of beauty?

To me Beauty is someone who has a kind heart.
