Everyday Beauty Essentials

Whether you're a product junkie like myself or completely new to makeup, there are a few staple products that every girl should own. The products above happen to be my own essentials, but whatever your favorites are will do just fine. To begin, pick your favorite base. Perfecting your skin is key for when you want to look and feel your best! Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation happens to be my ultimate favorite. It's full coverage, but when blended out with the Real Tecniques Buffing Brush, it leaves your skin looking naturally flawless and dewy all day.

For those of you lucky ladies out there with very well-behaved skin, feel free to skip this next step. But if you're like me, concealer is a must when you want to cover up any blemishes or redness you may have. Personally, I love the Revlon ColorStay Concealer. This concealer is extremely opaque-- great for covering up imperfections, but it never looks cakey. And to complete your the look, no one should go without a little bronzer. It's the easiest way to fake a warm glow all year long. My picks for bronzers are Nars Laguna Bronzer and NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny.

Now, the eyes are the main event. Playing up the eyes the right way can truly transform any look. Staple products that I love for my eyes are Maybelline's Gel Eyeliner in Black, Naked Basics Palette, and Cover Girl's 24 Hour LashBlast Mascara. I use the neutral shadows to create definition and the gel eyeliner to draw a thin line with a flick at the end. Once I've applied my eyeliner, I can really see how much bigger my eyes look. I finish off my eyes with my trusty mascara that pumps up the volume and never smudges. Unless you were blessed with perfect brows, the last essential product I think every girl should own is a brow powder or pencil. I love Anastasia's Brow Powder in Brunette. It matches my brows perfectly and looks very natural. Filling in your brows will pull together your entire face!
