Best Picks For Drugstore Makeup
Who doesn't love inexpensive makeup? I've compiled a list of my all time favorite drug store products -- which are affordable, accessible, and most importantly, of great quality.Revlon Colorstay Foundations
These are my absolute favorite drugstore foundations. They are almost full coverage, and last all day without any touch ups. The liquid version comes in a wide range of colors, and have options for oily and dry skin. The whipped version, which kind of looks like a melted milkshake, feels luxurious on the skin. It’s like pampering the skin each time you wear the foundation.
NYC Bronzer in Sunny
NYC is not a brand that I am usually drawn to, but this bronzer is perfect. Not too orange and not too brown, it works beautifully for contouring and warming up the skin. The sun imprinted on it adds a really cute touch to the packaging too.
Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Palette in Sunbaked Neutrals
This Maybelline palette offers a combination of colors varying in matte, shimmery colors, light and dark colors (there's even one that is perfect for filling in your brows). This palette is a must-have for your makeup bag with shadows perfect for almost any occasion.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains
Lip stains tend to be drying and crack on my lips, but not these. The Revlon lip stains really do feel like a balm when applied -- moisturizing and soft. After a few hours, my lips feel like they are bare, but the color has remained. These are great for school, work, or for those busy days when reapplying lipstick simply isn't an option.
L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
By itself, this mascara gives my short lashes volume and length without being clumpy or stiff. When layered over other mascaras you'll notice and even more dramatic, thick appearance to your lashes. This mascara can be a bit messy, but so worth it!
Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Shadows
When they wrote "Tattoo" on the packaging they really meant it. For long lasting color without fading reach for one of these bad boys. These cream shadows also make a great base before applying other eye shadows.
CoverGirl Eye Enhancers Eye Shadow in Champagne
This is the one eye shadow that I continue to repurchase. It’s pretty as an all-over lid color or to use as a highlight. There's enough shimmer for a beautiful reflection, but it's not too glittery.
Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blushes
These blushes are blendable and natural looking even though they look extremely bright in the packaging. There are shimmery and matte shades to choose from and both finishes look amazing. I'd pick these blushes over some that were twice the price.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters
Moisturizing, soft, and pigmented -- the lip butter feels like Chapstick, but gives you the finish of a lipstick. The color is buildable, so depending on your preference you can rock a sheer lip or add some intensity. They also have cute names like Cotton Candy, Berry Smoothie, Sugar Frosting and Candy Apple.
Maybelline Baby Lips
Baby Lips are so super moisturizing and soothing on your lips. There are a ton of colors and flavors to choose from but, my favorites are Peppermint, which is clear, and Pink Punch, which smells fruity and leaves your lips with a hot pink tint. This is another product that never leaves my purse.
