Batiste Makes Hair Gorgeous At NY Fashion Week
Yes, the shows at Fashion Week are amazing, but what really gets me excited are the products being used backstage on the models. Without the right makeup and hair the looks just wouldn't be complete. My favorite dry shampoo, Batiste, was the product on every model’s hair at the Katie Gallagher show. And Batiste representative, Pam Wardle, shared some insiders exclusively with me:
So why exactly have dry shampoo’s become so popular? Here’s what Pam had to say,
“It’s a fast-faced life that we live. Women are constantly running around trying to cram as much as they can into their day. So, they don’t have a lot of time to be styling their hair and blow-drying it everyday. Dry shampoo has been a nice fix for that. Also with the increase of people who have colored hair they don’t want to damage it and pull out more the oils. Also hair extensions are more popular and you have extensions you don’t want to be washing your hair very often.”
Pam also shared how to perfectly apply Batiste,
“Shake the can, you want to make sure that you shake it vigorously. Separate your hair into a couple of sections and then 10 to 12 inches from your hair you really want to spray in there. Massage it through your scalp and then brush it through and you’re good to go.”
A girl can never have to many choices -- thanks Batiste for providing us with even more:
“We have nine different fragrances and we have three different color variances. Depending on what your mood is you can pick whatever flavor you like.”
Watch out for the two new scents that are coming out too. Pam says one will be called Cherry and the second, Wild. Can’t wait to smell those!
