Yesterday I had another amazing photo shoot at the Glam Factory. This time I went for a 20’s theme — very dark and vampy. My model, Elva Diaz, was perfect for his theme and I got the chance to work with one of my favorite hair stylists again, Jennifer Blithe. I was most excited t try the false lashes Foxxie Flo from EyeLuv.Me on my model. Elva said that unlike other false lashes she has tried in the past, this set felt so comfortable — as if she weren’t wearing any falsies at all. The lashes are 100% human hair and handmade. They were extremely easy to apply and looked even more amazing on the model. I definitely need to stock up on these to use on future clients!
When I’m doing makeup on someone I feel like I’m in my zone and couldn’t be happier. Alexa Prisco, The Glam Fairy, shot these photos as well and was able to capture exactly what I had in mind. Yesterday was also the last day of the Summer Glam Academy and while it’s sad that the program has ended — I couldn’t be happier with everything I got out of it. My confidence as a makeup artist has been boosted tremendously and I’ve learned the proper fundamentals of makeup artistry. The Winter Glam Academy starts in February and I highly suggest you check it out if you’re serious about being a makeup artist and starting your own business.
